Looking for a good slice of pizza today? Good News! Kendall Square’s celebrated wood-fired pizzeria finally made its way across the river. Area Four opened its second location in the South End this past Monday!
Area Four Boston will be churning out its popular pies cooked in their custom-built Maine Wood Heat oven. The eatery has also expanded its wood-fired menu to include more vegetable, meat, and seafood options like pork belly, duck egg carbonara, a brussels sprouts and kale salad, and nut buttered beets.
The bar options are also being taken to the next level with bar managers Augusto Lino, previously of Hungry Mother, and Dan Lynch, previously of Blue Dragon, serving up drinks like the Marilla Pera (a take on a Caipirinha) and the Greenpoint (a variation on the Manhattan). Not in the mood for a cocktail? Order from 14 mostly local draft beers and wine.
Guests will be able to enjoy a certain retro vibe, thanks to features like a projection screen for video art, small vintage televisions, and a large two-turntable Pioneer record player.
The restaurant, located in the Troy Boston Building at 264 East Berkeley St., is serving up slices seven days a week from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. while the bar is open until 2 a.m.
